Villians Willow Bust! 10th Anniversary Renewal Gifts! Joss Whedon Signed Litho! As you know, 2007 marks Buffy's 10th anniversary. Ten years ago, the, ground-breaking television series, under the helm of Joss Whedon, started the phenomena known as the Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It is fitting that this 10 year mark starts the next decade of the Buffyverse with the Whedon penned Buffy Season 8 comic series. It is also fitting that the Buffy Collector Club celebrates this milestone year with special collectibles based on this hit season 8 comic series. It was no surprise to you, the BCC member, but it was a surprise to many others that the first issue of Buffy Season 8 comic sold out right away and is now in its 3rd printing in order to meet the demand. Did you know that the 1st printing included retailer incentives, such as a variant cover issue and even a very special Lithograph of the No. 1 cover art personally signed by Joss Wheadon himself along with cover artist, Jo Chen? Since the BCC is a major supporter of this comic series we have access to many of these incentives. This rare comic is selling for $18 right now on ebay and is only going up from here. Buffy Season 8 No. 2 1st Printing Variant 1:4 Cover This is the full issue of comic no. 2 with a new variant art cover. Buffy Season 8 future Issues Buffy Season 8 Lithograph. This large 24" by 18" litho poster featuring the comic no. art is personally signed by Joss Whedon and Jo Chen. It is very rare, sent only to stores that purchase over 100 issues of the first printing of comic no. 1. It is selling for about $150 on ebay right now. To celebrate this 10th anniversary, we are giving this rare stuff away to our loyal members who renew their BCC memberships throughout this year. Many of you have already renewed in the first 4 months of 2007 and you have already qualified for a free incentive gift. Everyone who is a BCC member is elegible, just renew in 2007 and as long as supplies last, you will receive one of these incentives. If you renew more than once this year, you will get a another item for each time you renew. OFFICIAL RULES: 1. Participant must be a BCC member. Pre-orders are up now. We are excited to announce in detail the next line of Buffy Statues - "The Essence of..." While not based on any particular moment from either Buffy or Angel, each piece dynamically captures the core of the character. As an added bonus the statues will all include a similar styled base and for the fist time in Buffy statues - lighted features! The Buffy statue features an incredible likeness of Sarah Michelle Gellar, staking a vamp. Willow is seen floating above a library of books and lit candles, while the Spike statue has him standing stoically - surrounded by flames. Lastly, the Angel piece features him kicking a door down with a blue light shining from above. Each of these detailed statues was sculpted by the talented artisans at Jean St. Jean Studios utilizing digital scans of the actors. The first statue "Essence of Spike" is scheduled for a Summer 2007 release.
