Buffy Season 8 is a new comic book series that picks up where season 7 ended and mimicks a new TV season, with each monthly book as a new episode of the season. Joss himself is writing the first four issues which will serve as the "pilot episode". All BCC Chosen members will receive FREE all four of the pilot Joss Whedon issues, with each new book being mailed as soon as it is released...no need to track down a comic shop to find every issue. All four issues are completely free, with free shipping too! See details in the link to Buffy Season 8 below. After the first four issues are received, each BCC Chosen member will continue to qualify for ongoing free issues of the series with only the actual shipping costs to pay. ***DETAILS Each member of BCC who has upgraded to Chosen level will receive a free subscription to initial pilot first four issues of the Dark Horse Comics' Buffy Season 8 Series. Each book will be sent to each member free of any shipping charges, as soon as it is released (each release should roughly correspond to a month). The first four issues are completely free, with no charge for shipping. After that, each member will have the option to continue to subscribe to free issues and pay only shipping. Every member who selects a subscription will receive as many free books as are released in the year of their membership. Each membership renewal will extend the free subscription for another year and this will continue for the entire length of time the comic book series is published. Dark Horse and Joss Whedon are planning a 25-30 episode/issue saga, so that would indicate at least a 2-3 year run assuming the series continues and stays on track with monthly releases. The free subscription will end when the BCC membership ends, or when the BTVSFigs Forum membership ends, or when the comic book series ends, whichever comes first. If you joined in our first month and renewed 1 year, your membership will be due for renewal before the end of Jan 2007. Here's how the renewal process works: All memberships are monthly based. That means if you joined any day in Jan 2006 and have not renewed yet, your membership will expire at the end of jan 2007. You may renew at any time (many of you have already) and that will extend your membership until end of Jan 2008. Multiple renewal purchases may made to add even more years on to the membership.
